Irving Sandler Visits The Proposition

The art critic Irving Sandler visited The Proposition in May during the “Spring Round Up” group show. I was thrilled when I heard he wanted to do a photo shoot with my works for an interview with The Chronicle Review. The director of the gallery Ronald Sosinski speaks with Irving about the works in the show. Check out the interview here. Also pictured are paintings by Megan Burns, Evan Levine, and Balint Zsako.

I was mentioned in a review about The Proposition’s group exhibition “Spring Round-Up”. The article by Leigh Anne Miller says, “Imaginative figurative paintings by Megan Burns and Balint Zsako harmonize with Ben Bunch’s colorful constructions on pedestals that resemble electrical engineering contraptions.”

What’s the news?

Thanks for checking out my new site. I just revised it to version 3.0! Can’t believe this is the third incarnation and I’m already thinking of improving it. Actually that’s not true, I am really pleased with this evermore streamlined version and the content management system.

As for now I am just plugging away in the studio. I will be possibly included in a group show on Lower East Side this fall. I will post the details upon confirmation.

In the meantime look for more new work as I am sifting through my archives.
